Advokaadibüroo EnvirLaw OÜ is the first law firm in Estonia to specialise exclusively on environmental law. Our firm provides legal advice that is based on extensive professional experience in the field. We place importance on providing high quality legal services and focus on finding the best solutions. We recognise the need for including science-based competences in the field of environmental law and therefore cooperate with various environmental experts. We value continuous self-improvement.

Rendering experience-based services

Mirjam Vili, an attorney-at-law and the partner of the firm, has been involved in environmental law for over 15 years. She has participated in the development of a number of major environmental law reforms in Estonia, such as the codification of the environmental law, the reform of the calculation and payment of environmental charges and the transposition of various EU directives. Mirjam Vili has been an active lawyer from 2010.

Our firm has a long experience of cooperation with both private and public clients. In addition, Mirjam Vili, the partner and attorney, has professional experience in both the private and public sectors. Due to the specificity of the field, skilful combination of public and private professional experience will ensure the greatest possible benefits for the customer in the environmental field.

Mirjam has furthered her education at the international level as well as in management. In addition to a Master’s degree in law from the University of Tartu, she also holds a Master of Laws degree (LL.M) from the Free University of Berlin (Freie Universität Berlin) and a Master’s degree in social management strategies from Tallinn University.

We know that advising in environmental law often requires the involvement of environmental experts from different fields. Therefore, we also incorporate science-based competencies. We value cooperation with experts from different environmental fields. We are a member of the Estonian Association for Environmental Management (EKJA).

Environmental law is a new and rapidly developing branch of law. Therefore, continuous self-improvement is important for us. The partner of the firm is a PhD student in environmental law at the University of Tartu.
